Subscription & Billing Policy

01.1. Subscription Plans
QRBuildr offers the following subscription tiers to meet a range of needs:
- Free Plan ($0/month): Includes basic static QR code generation with limited customization options. Suitable for individuals exploring QR codes for personal use.
- Pro Plan ($19/month): Includes dynamic QR codes, scan analytics, custom branding and colors, bulk QR code creation, and priority support. Designed for professionals and small businesses.
- Business Plan ($49/month): Includes everything in the Pro plan plus advanced analytics, team collaboration features, API access, higher usage limits, and dedicated support. Built for organizations with larger-scale QR code needs.
Full details of features included in each plan are available on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify plan features and offerings at any time, subject to the notice provisions described in this policy.
02.2. Billing and Payment
All payments for QRBuildr subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Key billing details include:
- Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing period
- Billing periods run for 30 days from the date of your initial subscription or most recent renewal
- We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover
- You will receive an email receipt from Stripe for each payment processed
- All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated
You are responsible for keeping your payment information current and accurate. You may update your payment method at any time through your account dashboard.
03.3. Auto-Renewal
All paid QRBuildr subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file for each renewal period at the then-current subscription rate.
- You will not receive a separate reminder before each renewal charge
- To avoid being charged for the next billing period, you must cancel your subscription before the current period ends
- Cancellation instructions are provided in the Cancellation section of this policy
04.4. Upgrading and Downgrading
You may change your subscription plan at any time from your account dashboard:
- Upgrades: Plan upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the difference between your current plan and the new plan for the remainder of your billing period. Full pricing for the upgraded plan applies from your next renewal date onward.
- Downgrades: Plan downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. You will continue to have access to your current plan’s features until the end of the current period.
- Usage limits: When downgrading, if your current usage exceeds the limits of the lower-tier plan, certain features or QR codes may be paused or restricted once the downgrade takes effect. You will be notified of any affected items before the change is applied.
05.5. Free Plan
QRBuildr offers a free plan that requires no payment information to get started. The free plan provides limited access to the platform’s features and is designed to let users evaluate QRBuildr before committing to a paid subscription.
- No credit card or payment method is required to sign up for the free plan
- The free plan includes basic QR code generation with limited customization and no access to dynamic QR codes or analytics
- We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the free plan at any time without prior notice
- Free plan users may upgrade to a paid plan at any time to unlock additional features
06.6. Failed Payments
If a scheduled payment fails for any reason (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds, or declined transaction), we will take the following steps:
- Retry attempts: Stripe will automatically retry the failed payment up to 3 times over the following days
- Grace period: During the retry window, your account will remain active with full access to your paid features. We will notify you by email of the failed payment and request that you update your payment information
- Account suspension: If all retry attempts fail and your payment information is not updated, your account will be suspended and downgraded to the free plan. Dynamic QR codes and paid features will be paused until payment is resolved
- Data retention: Your account data, including QR codes and analytics history, will be retained for a reasonable period following suspension to allow you to resubscribe and restore access
07.7. Taxes
All subscription prices listed on QRBuildr are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or government-imposed fees associated with your subscription, including but not limited to sales tax, VAT, or GST based on your jurisdiction.
- Stripe handles the calculation and collection of taxes where required by law
- Applicable taxes will be displayed during checkout and on your invoice
- If you are exempt from certain taxes, you may provide valid exemption documentation by contacting us at contact@qrbuildr.com
08.8. Cancellation
You may cancel your QRBuildr subscription at any time using one of the following methods:
- Account dashboard: Navigate to your account settings and select the option to cancel your subscription
- Email: Send a cancellation request to contact@qrbuildr.com from the email address associated with your account
Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
- After your paid period expires, your account will be downgraded to the free plan
- There are no cancellation fees or penalties

09.9. Account Suspension for Non-Payment
If your account has an outstanding balance that remains unresolved after all retry attempts and the grace period described above, QRBuildr reserves the right to:
- Suspend your account and restrict access to paid features
- Pause all dynamic QR codes associated with your account, meaning they will no longer redirect to their target URLs
- Limit your account to free plan functionality until the outstanding balance is resolved
- After an extended period of non-payment (90 days or more), permanently delete account data in accordance with our data retention practices
If your account is suspended, you may restore full access by updating your payment method and settling any outstanding balance through your account dashboard.
10.10. Changes to Pricing
QRBuildr reserves the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. When we make changes to pricing, the following applies:
- Advance notice: We will provide at least 30 days’ written notice before any price changes take effect, via email to the address associated with your account
- Current subscribers: Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current pricing through the end of their active billing period at the time of notification
- New pricing: Updated pricing will apply starting with the first billing period that begins after the 30-day notice window
- Your options: If you do not agree with the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect. Continued use of a paid plan after the new pricing is applied constitutes your acceptance of the updated rates
