01.1. Purpose
This policy defines the acceptable and prohibited uses of the QRBuildr platform, including all features related to QR code generation, dynamic QR code management, scan analytics, and any associated services. It is designed to protect QRBuildr, our users, and the broader public from harmful, illegal, or abusive activity conducted through our platform.
This AUP supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all users, including those on free and paid subscription plans.
02.2. Permitted Use
QRBuildr is intended for lawful business and personal use. You may use our platform to:
- Generate static and dynamic QR codes for legitimate purposes, such as marketing, product packaging, event management, contact sharing, and personal projects
- Encode content that you own or have the legal right to distribute, including URLs, text, contact information, Wi-Fi credentials, and other supported data types
- Use scan analytics to measure the performance of your own QR codes in accordance with applicable privacy laws
- Upload logos, images, and branding assets that you own or are authorized to use for QR code customization
- Create landing pages and digital experiences that comply with all applicable laws and regulations
03.3. Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited on QRBuildr. This list is not exhaustive, and we reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, whether any conduct violates this policy.
Phishing and Credential Harvesting
- Creating QR codes that direct users to phishing websites, fake login pages, or any destination designed to trick individuals into revealing personal information, passwords, financial data, or other sensitive credentials.
Malware Distribution
- Using QR codes to link to or distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, trojans, or any other malicious software. This includes QR codes that initiate unauthorized downloads or redirect users to compromised websites.
Deceptive or Misleading Redirects
- Configuring dynamic QR codes to redirect users to destinations that are materially different from what is represented on the QR code’s label, packaging, or surrounding context. Users who scan a QR code must be directed to content consistent with the stated or reasonably expected purpose.
Spam Campaigns
- Using QRBuildr to generate QR codes in bulk for the purpose of distributing unsolicited messages, advertising, or promotional material in violation of applicable anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, or the ePrivacy Directive).
Fraud and Impersonation
- Creating QR codes or associated landing pages that impersonate another person, company, or organization. This includes using another entity’s branding, trademarks, or trade dress without authorization to deceive or mislead users.
Illegal Goods or Services
- Using QR codes to promote, sell, distribute, or facilitate access to illegal goods or services, including but not limited to controlled substances, unlicensed firearms, counterfeit products, or any items prohibited under applicable law.
Copyright Infringement
- Uploading logos, images, or branding assets to which you do not hold rights or a valid license. Creating QR codes that link to content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrighted material hosted without authorization on landing pages or QR code destinations.
Abusive Scan Tracking and Surveillance
- Using QRBuildr’s scan analytics features to conduct surveillance on individuals, track specific persons without their knowledge or consent, or collect scan data for purposes that violate applicable privacy laws. Scan analytics are provided for aggregate performance measurement, not for identifying or monitoring individual users.
Bypassing Plan Limits or Technical Protections
- Attempting to circumvent subscription plan limits, rate limits, API restrictions, or other technical protections implemented by QRBuildr. This includes creating multiple free accounts to exceed plan allowances, using automated tools to abuse our services, or exploiting vulnerabilities in our platform.
Hate Speech, Violence, and Exploitation
- Creating QR codes that redirect to content promoting hate speech, incitement to violence, terrorism, child sexual abuse material, human trafficking, or any form of exploitation. QR codes linking to content that targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics are strictly prohibited.
Harassment and Threats
- Using the QRBuildr platform to harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or bully any individual. This includes creating QR codes that direct to threatening messages, doxxing content, or material intended to cause fear or emotional distress to a specific person or group.
04.4. Dynamic QR Code Responsibility
Dynamic QR codes allow you to change the destination URL at any time after the QR code has been created and distributed. Because of this flexibility, you bear full responsibility for all content that your dynamic QR codes redirect to, both at the time of creation and at any point thereafter.
- You must ensure that every destination URL associated with your dynamic QR codes complies with this Acceptable Use Policy, our Terms of Service, and all applicable laws at all times.
- If you update the destination of a dynamic QR code, you are responsible for verifying that the new destination is lawful and compliant with this policy.
- QRBuildr reserves the right to monitor dynamic QR code destinations periodically and to disable or suspend any QR code that is found to violate this policy, without prior notice.
- If we receive a report or otherwise become aware that a dynamic QR code is being used for prohibited purposes, we may immediately disable the redirect and notify you of the violation.
05.5. User-Generated Content
QRBuildr allows you to upload and incorporate user-generated content into your QR codes and associated materials. This includes but is not limited to:
- Logos and brand images used for QR code customization
- Images and media files embedded in QR code designs
- Text, copy, and visual content on landing pages created through our platform
All user-generated content must comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. Specifically:
- You must own or hold a valid license for all content you upload to QRBuildr
- Content must not infringe on the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights of any third party
- Content must not be obscene, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful under applicable law
- Content must not contain malicious code, hidden redirects, or deceptive elements
We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content that violates this policy and to suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat offenders.

We reserve the right to take any combination of the above actions at our sole discretion, and to take additional measures not listed here as we deem necessary to protect the integrity and safety of our platform.
